FlowSim SLC® – Gravity Flow Simulation for Sublevel Caving

FlowSim SLC® is a specialised software for gravity flow simulation in Sublevel Caving (SLC) operations. The model represents ore behaviour under different design configurations, incorporating the principal technical–economic constraints of the project as well as the geotechnical conditions inherent to the mining method.

Through numerical modelling, FlowSim SLC® enables the evaluation of extraction scenarios, estimation of recoverable reserves, and analysis of flow evolution based on blasting sequence and production level geometry. This provides a quantitative foundation for mine plan optimisation and objective comparison of design alternatives.

FlowSim SLC® forms part of the BCTEC technology ecosystem and can be integrated with tools such as BCRisk® to incorporate risk analysis within the planning process
