BCTEC participated in the 27th World Mining Congress 2026, held in Lima, Peru, one of the most relevant international gatherings for the mining industry. The event brought together specialists, companies, researchers, and professionals from the sector to share technical advances, experiences, and solutions applied to the main challenges facing mining today.
On this occasion, BCTEC was represented by Raúl Castro, Principal Consultant; Lenin Arancibia, Engineering Manager; and Fernando Caballero, Senior Consultant. During the event, the company presented part of its experience in simulation, mine planning, and decision-making support for underground mining. The presentation provided an opportunity to share BCTEC’s work in the use of advanced modelling and simulation tools applied to the evaluation of complex mining scenarios.
BCTEC’s participation in WMC 2026 reflects the company’s commitment to technological innovation, technical excellence, and the development of solutions that contribute to safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mining.
The congress also provided an opportunity to strengthen technical exchange with representatives of the global mining industry, creating spaces for discussion around current challenges in mine planning, operational simulation, geomechanics, and risk analysis in underground operations.
